Remembering July: A Day of Cultural Celebration

Join us on Thursday, July 11th, for a vibrant day of cultural celebration hosted by Will E. Skandalz. This event, “Remembering July,” is dedicated to honoring and preserving our rich traditions and heritage. The celebration will take place at MaryJane’s, located at 441 rue St. Michel in Kanehsatake, starting at 12 pm.

Experience the beauty and history of traditional dancing, with captivating performances by Owen Mayo and Teioronhiate Phillips. Their movements, deeply rooted in our culture, will transport you to a time-honored past, showcasing the grace and significance of our dances.

Adding to the cultural richness of the event, Aronhiateni Thompson will lead us in singing and drumming. The powerful rhythms and melodies will echo through the air, reminding us of the strength and unity of our community.

As you immerse yourself in the festivities, enjoy delicious offerings from our onsite food trucks. Indulge in the flavors of Rezican Tacos and Mary Jane’s, and explore the offerings from Kanesatake Dispensary, including medical marijuana.

Come together with friends and family to celebrate our heritage, enjoy great food, and create lasting memories. We look forward to seeing you there!
